Weight Charts

There are numerous weight restrictions on every vehicle built, from sports cars to vans to pickup trucks and all the way to semi-tractor trailers. You have both your front and rear Gross Axle Weight Ratings (GAWR) as well as your Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)** to name a few. This why here at Quigley Motor Co., Inc. we catalog the weights of every vehicle we work on, both before and after our conversion. We have a digital scale built into our plant's floor, where we weigh each vehicle's axles individually. There is a twofold reason for us to do this:

  1. Before we perform our 4x4 installation, we must ensure that the vehicle we plan to convert will still meet all of its' weight limitations after our 4x4 system is added.
  2. The second is for our engineering database. We use this data to track how our conversion weights affect the different makes and models of vehicles. This information is the premise of which our Buildable Weight Limit Charts are based.

NOTE:

Before you ship any type of Cut-Away Chassis with a body to our facility, we require that you download and complete our PRE-CONVERSION ANALYSIS FORM. Either email the completed form to our engineering department or fax it to us per the attention of Todd Quigley. This is to confirm that your vehicle meets the required weight specifications prior to shipping and avoiding any unnecessary delivery expenses. If you have any question on the Pre-analysis Conversion form please contact our engineering department either by phone or email.

**WARNING:
Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings or GVWRs cannot be increased by an alterer-manufacturer nor a final stage manufacturer without a whole gamut of testing, including crash tests. The vehicle would require total recertification and may require the removal of all OEM name plates. You would also lose the OEM certifications and may lose OEM warranty. Quigley manufactures all vehicles to the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) GVWR.
